Gifts for him!

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but i'm here to give yous my insight on the perfect gifts for him. I'm going to basically list out presents that I have bought this year for my dad, brother, boyfriend etc and all these things will vary in prices! Now I like to be prepared so I started buying Christmas presents about two months ago, and before I did I looked up a few videos on youtube and read some blogs for some inspiration and I was really very disappointed. Most of the videos were all DIY lovey-dovey gifts that may work for some people -but are far too sickly sweet for me. I prefer to get someone something that they have wanted and that they will use. That's the thing with men- they don't often want a lot which makes them hard to buy for, but once you get them something that is practical and they will use 9 times out of 10 they will love it. Right i'm going to jump right in and start.
Going to start off with a very universal and obvious gift..... Videogames. This year I have purchased... Splintercell, Call of dutys, Grand theft Autos, L.A noir, Tomb raiders, and loads more for xbox's and playstations as I just find that although these aren't the most thoughtful of gifts, it works a treat every time. I have bought these for my boyfriend, my brother and just some close friends in generall. Going along with the games, you could also get accessories for the gaming console that your man has -headsets, steering wheels, chairs, wireless remotes etc. Oh, and on a side note I would advise for yous to look online on amazon and ebay as I have found that a lot of the games that are still new and sealed are a lot cheaper on there rather than buying them from the shop. Just make sure of shipping times so that your package will arrive before Christmas!
Next is another universal gift and it is.. Aftershave! I am in love with three aftershaves in particular and the prices range from rather cheap to kind of expensive. The great thing about this present is that there are always sales on in Chemists and Pharmacies and you can always get a real bargain with aftershaves. The three I would suggest would be. John Paul Gautier - now this one is at the top end of my budget. I bought this last year for my boyfriend as I absoloutely adore the smell. I got this in a gift set for 90 euro I believe. The next one is sort of middling in price I suppose and it is the One Million aftershave. This is my least favourite between the three I've said however I do really like the smell and the staying power from this one is amazing! I bought this this year for between 50-60. Last but not least is the wonderfully priced Callum Best aftershave giftset. This comes with a lotion and the aftershave in a lovely box for an incredible 11 euro guys! This stuff smells divine I can't even tell you how much I love this one. I find it quite similar to the John Paul Gautier one but I find that this one has far better staying power and the scent is more prominent. I would definitely recommend this for any man in your life, it's an absolute bargain!
Next is something a little random and can be a little pricey too. An external harddrive. I bought mine for around the 150 mark and it is a Toshiba 2TB one. These are great as they hold hundreds of movies, pictures, albums, everything and you can just plug it into your tv or laptop and watch/listen to any of them. I know that boys love that kind of stuff so depending on what budget you have and what your man is into I think this could be a very good gift. Also, to be a little bit sentimental and personal you could put pictures of the two of yous and songs and things onto it before you give it to him.
Next on the list is boxsets. People love a good boxset and at the minute I would recommend Homeland, House of Cards, American Horror Story, Supernatural, True blood, orange is the new black, the list is endless. The thing is with a boxset you could really get something to suit anyone. There's series', documentaries, programmes about everything nowadays and there's nothing nicer during these cold months then snuggling up at the end of a hard day in front of a fire and watching the next episode of your favourite series.
Next one will not be for everyone and it's novelty things- particularly Marvel heroes in this case. For some reason my 22 year old boyfriend has an obsession with this stuff! However I don't mind at the minute because there are lots of gift ideas that come to mind including marvel hero mugs, toiletries bag and set, earphones, jocks and socks, t-shirts, wallets, phonecovers ets. There are so many little stocking fillers you could get with that, and you could broaden that out to whatever suits your man aswell. For example he likes formula one- boxsets, mugs, key rings, there's loads of novelty things to suit most people.
Next is the classic clothes. Unlike ourselves, men aren't that interested in clothes and I know I wouldn't go out and spend a bomb on a whole new diesel outfit or tommy hilfiger as there wouldn't be enough appreciation for it because to men clothes are just clothes. So I would recommend not going overboard in this area. In jack and jones they usually do good deals like 2 t-shirts for 25 and things like that and then ofcourse there is the classic socks and jocks. Men love getting socks and jocks as often you'll find that they're the one thing they don't really buy themselves.
Also there is the traditional watch or wallet, concert tickets or a weekend away for two. There are so many gifts out there and I really hope that after reading this you get somewhat of inspiration out of it and get some idea of something to get that special someone.
This is only a handful of the ideas I have but I better stop here or this could turn into a very very very long post and ain't nobody got time to read all that! As always thank you so much for reading this far! Will be talking to yous again soon!

Perfume, Perfume, Perfume!

Okay girls, now this post is going to be on my top 6 perfumes! I'm going to try and keep this short and sweet and straight to the point. Now if i'm honest I love very sweet smelling perfumes- i'm not one for more elegant 'grown up' smells. I like to keep my scent sweet and edgy and youthful, in saying that my top all-time favourite perfume is Ed Hardy!
I was in New York a few years back and I decided to give this perfume a go because of two reasons -it's so cheap in the states and it came with a free Ed Hardy handbag -and two, it's packaging! It's packaging is super cute with the classic ed hardy designs on the lid of the bottle and the bright fushia bottle itself! I love the look of this perfume and the smell is amazing! It's the Ed Hardy Hearts & Daggers perfume. It has a very sweet fruity almost tropical smell. It's quite fruit-heavy in it's scent with notes of mango, blood orange, apple and all sorts. I love this scent as it's quite playful and youthful and full on. When I spray it you can smell it off me for about three hours before I have to respray so it doesn't last an exceptional amount of time but none the less the scent of it is magnificent so this is not a deal breaker for me. A 100ml bottle of this retails for about 60 euro.

Next on my list, keeping with the light sweet scents is the Britney Spears fantasy perfume. I like the packaging to this too- It's once again bright pink, and in a ball shape with a cute lid. Also the bottle is covered with little diamonds. I first got this perfume years ago when I was very young so I find that when I spray it I get quite reminiscent of my youth. I find that this scent is also very sweet and fruity however I find it's a bit more overpowering than the Ed Hardy one. I find that the scent is a lot stronger and lasts longer as well. I used to wear this as kind of an everyday perfume because it lasts so long and has a very nice girly scent which I love. A 30ml bottle can go for around 25-30 euro.

Next on my list is a perfume that I got last year as a Christmas present and it is the Katy Perry Queen Killer. As I got this for a gift I didn't know if I was going to like it or not but to my surprise I really did! The packaging leaves a lot to be desired. It came in a big red ombre diamond-ish shape bottle with a gold lid. Now this packaging I found didn't work for me as the lid felt very cheap and flimsy and actually part of it broke off on mine, and also the shape of the bottle was very awkward as you could not stand the bottle upright and it would have to be left lying on it's side. That's where my criticism ends though. The scent is like the two other perfumes except I find this one a little mopre complex than just the plain sweet fruity smell as it's a little more deep with more kind of muskier, woody, undertones in it. I like this perfume because it's sweet, youthful and playful yet it has a touch of something a little deeper that makes it perfect for a dinner out with the girls or something you just want to feel a little bit more special for! This also is really good value at a 50ml bottle for about 26euro.

Next on my lift is something completely different! This perfume is one that i've gone back to time and time again as it is SO cheap and I find has a really nice unique smell! It's the Kate perfume by Kate moss! I find the packaging to be perfect as it's just a small cute bottle with a black lid that's the perfect size for carrying around your handbag! This scent unlike the ones so far is more floral dominant (which I usually don't go for). It's very feminine and pretty aswell though. It is not too overpowering and it's slightly musky and I just love it. It lasts a decent amount of time too. A bottle of 30ml retails for as little as 10 euro. What a bargain!

Next on my list is Miss Sixty Rock Muse! I love the packaging on this one! It's a red bottle in the shape of a heart and it is just really edgy and pretty! The scent of this is just wonderful! It's fruity, rich, spicy and a little bit edgy. I loved wearing this perfume if I was going to a concert or a night out on the town or something. I also love this around the Autumn time. The only fault I have with this perfume is that once you spray it, it is beautiful, yet it doesn't last very long before having to be sprayed again. A 75ml bottle of this will cost you about 20.

Now last but not least was another gift, and a perfume I was really surprised I liked too. This one is called Ghost Moonlight. I really do love this one. The bottle is really elegant and pretty- it's a long bottle with a clear/purple colour and is just very pretty. I use this one as my 'grown up' scent. It's quite a soft and subtle scent, fruity, musky, but amazing. It's one that I use sparingly and treat myself to if i'm having a night with my boyfriend or a meeting or something that's not an everyday thing. I love love love this one and for a 50ml bottle it will set you back about 30 euro.

Well there you have it girls! Be sure to stay tuned as i'm doing a men scents blogpost too! As always thanks so much for reading! Oh and I have just googled these prices from places like boots or used the price I have bought them for. I'm sure the prices will vary depending on where you look. Thanks again!

My winter skincare routine!

Hey girls! I'm back and today I thought I'd share with you my skincare routine. I don't spend a lot of money on skincare- as I don't have a lot of money to spend although there are many higher end products that I would love to try! So this is going to be more of a drugstore product blog as that is what I am using at the moment! As you all now, it's winter! I have normal to dry skin as it is, that's very sensitive. I try not to let my skin get too dry at this time of year so that's basically what my routine is based around!
First off every evening I cleanse, tone and moisturise. I try to in the morning to before makeup but illl be honest, I'm usually very lazy so most the time I do just moisturise in the morning. For my cleanser and toner I've been using Garnier goodbye dry gentle cleansing milk and toner for normal to dry skin! I've been using this for almost two months now. I do have to say I actually don't mind taking my makeup off with this every evening as it is so effective and your makeup just glides off! And the best part... Eye makeup! This stuff is great for taking off eye makeup! I have sensitive eyes so a lot of eye makeup removers irritate them and make me feel like I'm going half blind for a few minutes after I be used them haha, but not this. I find it so gentle and so effective!! And the toner feels so cool and calm on the skin and doesn't leave it feeling atall tight or uncomfortable!
Now these come in very cute girly packaging. It's just a squeezey bottle with a white and pink theme going on. The cleanser itself is white (and doesn't emulsify) and the toner is clear. I use both these products on cotton pads. Now the smell of these products are Devine! I fell in love with the smell and that is actually the reason I decided to purchase them! It's a lovely cherry-ish smell but not atall sour or overpowering, it's just lovely! These products are also paraben free! I think I will stick with these products for a while and see how they go but at the minute my skin has been looking noticeabley clearer and touchabley softer and less dry, so ultimately a big thumbs up! Oh and girls! I purchased these at 3 euro each on sale, but you can get both of them for under a tenner together usually! Talk about affordable!
For mousturiser I am using the nivea refreshingly soft moisturising cream. I found this little gem a while back when one winter my skin was so dry that around my nose and cheeks area my skin was actually flaking- regardless of how much exfoliation and everything my makeup was sticking to the dry patches and flaking and looked really awful! I asked my friend for some moisturiser one day I was in we house and she have me this and I loved it! I noticed a difference straight away believe it or not! The formula is so thick and creamy yet absorbs so quickly to the skin and really helped with my dry patches! It is enriched with vitimans E and jojoba extract. The scent is very light and refreshing and I apply this in the morning and before bed and I just can't get enough of it! I'm not too sure how this would work on someone with oily skin as the consistency it quite hydrating and thing but it does wonders for my dry skin especially at this time of year! Also this is once again very affordable at just under 6 euro for the big tub of it and around 3 for the squeezey tube!
Last but not least is a product I have heard so many mixed reviews about. It is the no7 hydrating mask for dry skin! Now I haven't tried much of the no7 range as although it is drugstore products some of their stuff can be a bit pricey. I recieved a voucher in boots for 6.50 euro off any skincare purchase and trust me guys they give these vouchers out all the time, so on a whim I decided to purchase this item. It was a bit of an impulse buy, I seen how pretty it looked and just couldn't not buy it! It is in a cylinder shape bottle that has spirals of a light pink and white going up the whole way though it with a pump applicator. I like the way you can see through into the product to see how much is in the bottle. The first time I tried this I cleansed my face and then applied this with my fingers all over my face. Use this product sparingly as one and a half pumps done my face and I had product left over! This isn't your traditional 'face mask' as it doesn't dry hard or a different colour or anything or the sorts. It goes on after a while it feels very greasy on your skin. I left it on my face for about twenty minutes and I removed it with cotton pads. Girls I haven't tried to remove it with water as I've read it's a big struggle to do so but it comes off fine with cotton pads! I then woke up the next morning and I have to say, my skin felt so smooth! It felt lovely to touch! I actually liked this product! Now it's not the most amazing facemask I've ever tried but I do like it and think it will come in very handy with this weather! Also it retails for about 16 euro- in or around that anyway, and with my voucher it cost just under a tenner! And with all no7 products they give you a little no7 bag- which I love as it makes my little splurge feel more luxurious!
That's it for my skincare, I will let you know if I find any fault with these products to come or if I change my routine in anyway! Thank you so much for reading!

New to make-up? Starter kit!

Hey there! Anyone who is new to make up might feel a little intimidated.. I know I did! So I thought I might make a little blog about what I think would make up the basis of a really good starter kit for anyone. The products that I will mention will all be affordable as when you're just starting out you don't really know what will suit your skin type or colour and just your personal preference in general.
The first thing I would like to make clear is that nobody needs to wear make up nor an I trying to encourage people who don't wear make up to start. If you are going to start to wear make up you could be any age but just try to make sure you're doing it for the right reasons. I have been wearing makeup since I was very young, about 12 or 13 if I'm honest. I have very pale skin and my eyelashes aren't that dark which makes them look smaller, and that's just the begining of all the things that I personally don't like, so I always wear foundation and masscara at least to make me feel better about myself. I'm not sure if that is a good reason or not, but none the less it gives me more confidence. I just think that you should want to wear make up, as you enjoy it and not because you feel you have to or are obliged to.
Now back to the point, I've compiled a few very basic products. You may think this list is far too much for you- or far too little. It's all down to personal preference really but I think this is just the right amount as you have enough to get ready for a night out or just go very simple and subtle during the day. Remember girls! You don't have to use it all at once. You could be hacing a good skin day and just want to wear masscara that day, for other days just a dab of concealer, there's no need to go overboard. :)
I'm going to start off this list with a foundation that is tried and tested and that I love? It is the l'oreal true match foundation. I love this foundation it is sooooo easy to blend and gives a lovely no make up natural look while giving you that light coverage! Even now that I've been into makeup for years I always have one of these as a backup! And as for a setting powder the rimmel stay matte setting powder is great!

Now for a concealer I think it would have to be nyx concealer. I adore this concealer! I only have recently tried it but already on my third tube! It comes in a lot of different shades, even green! I love it, it's very blendanle and such good coverage and pigmentation, cannot recommend enough!!

For a blush or bronzer, this product is completely optional as I don't feel it's going to be for everyone, especially for beginners and you don't really know what sort of colours suit you, I would go with cheaper brands like essence or catrice and play around with colours.

For eyeshadows, I think for beginers especially it's great to play around with nude shades as they're so easy to wear and so versatile that you can achieve so many looks with them! The two palettes I'd recommend that are purse friendly are the N7 in the nude palette and the make up revolution palette- both of these are clear 'dupes' for the almighty naked 2 palette but I find them very good for the price, so you can't really go wrong!

For masscara I think rimmel have it on the ball! All their masscaras are fab! I would recommend falsies, scandal eyes, collosol volume, any of them really, they all do the job and are all very affordable!

Eyeliner (optional) I don't think this is essential for you're starter kit however if you wanted to stand out on a particular day some eyeliner to outline your eyes may help you achieve a harsher look! I would recommend the make up gallary liquid liner as it's short and sturdy brush makes precise application that much easier! For a pencil eyeliner I would recommend gosh liner in black it works wonders! That was also my very first eyeliner I bought myself!

Finally for lips I would go for a nude lip, so maybe a lipstick like nearly nude from makeup gallery, and a more outgoing shade for if you want to be a bit bolder and more adventurous, maybe something like a deep plum for winter? Or a fushia pink? It all depends on what you feel comfortable with!

Now, When I started out I really did just apply the products with my fingers and brushes they came with. This is perfectly fine but I just thought I'd throw in some brushes that are not essential but worth having a look at! The real techniques core kit is a fantastic brush set to have and will make applying makeup that much more easy! It's a lovely set, not too expensive for decent make up brushes and they last you for ages aswell! Also the real techniques beauty blender is a personal favourite of mine, it effortlessly blends my foundation in and makes it look flawless and natural!
Anyway guys thanks for reading and I really hope this helped at least one of you's out there! I know when you first take an interest in makeup it can be very intimidating and daunting, especially when there's so many people all around you who know so much about it, but just remember people, patience is key!

November favourites!!

Hey guys! I'm back with my November favourites! Now this is just going to be a brief overview of some of the products that I've been using and loving at the minute! I won't go into too much detail as I'm going to do individual reviews on the products over the next few days. Now some of these products I've been using for a good while, and some are very new to me. As the weather is changing and my skin is getting drier as are my lips, I've been using products to accommodate this and keep away the winter blues!
First off I'm going to start with skincare. I've been using the garnier goodbye dry cleansing milk and toner for normal to dry skin. This will only set me back 3 euro for each product as they were on special but usually they are under 6 euro. Very affordable and very effective! And for moisturiser I am using the Nivea refreshingly soft moisturising cream with jojoba oil and vitamin E. This is also very affordable at just 6.29 for a 200ml jar. You can also get a squeezey tube of it for around 3 euro.
Another skincare product I've been using is the no7 beautiful skin hydration mask for dry to very dry skin. This set me back 16.25.

For hair care I've been loving the dove volume boost shampoo and conditioner along with loreal elvive fibrology thickening hair mask. This stuff is amazing guys! And at just 6.29 this stuff is a bargain!!

Now for the interesting stuff. For lips I have been loving Vaseline. Yep, the rose coloured Vaseline has been a godsend in this weather. Also I have been loving the apocalips lip glosses, I find these are great to give me that pop of colour when I'm in a rush. Now I have been getting mine for around 8 euro as far as I can remember, bargain!

For foundation I've been going back to a trusty favourite being l'oreal true match foundation! Love this as I don't feel that I need to look as sunkissed and bronze in winter so I try to embrace my natural paleness and I just love this for everyday makeup! This costs me about 15 euro, and I pair it up with nyx concealers which are about 7 euro!
Now remember I purchased individual false lashes from penny's! I have been adoring these! They are so so easy to apply and I get so many wears out of them! And unlike strip lashes when I wear these for a long period of time they don't come off or budge at all, they stay completely on place for the whole day and the best part is I've been using the glue that they come with and it works wonderfully! This was only 4 euro aswell!
Also for eyes I've been loving the w7 in the nude and in the buff palettes. These are a carbon copy of the naked 2 and 3 palettes, however much cheaper and not as good of quality. I find they still work great though and with a decent eye primer last the day. They also blend well and some of the colours are very pigmented, and for under a tenner per palette where could you go wrong?

I'm going to keep this post short and sweet and add one more product to the list. This product is.... Dun dun dun... Not a makeup product! It's the Kate Moss perfume! I seen this in the chemist the other day reduced from 21 euro to 10 euro and I remember wearing this back when I was a lot younger so I purchased it to reminisce more than anything and I have to say I've been loving the smell! I usually go for very sweet scents and this is different to them. I can't describe the smell but I'm loving it! Also, stay tuned as I'm planning on doing my top scents post soon!
As always thank you for reading!

My top 10 make-up wish list! (Christmas list)

Now people, Christmas is coming up! And although I'm a little old for Santa to come to me and my boyfriend is clueless about makeup, I can still hope to get some makeup! Who knows, Miricles can happen right? So I've put together a top 10 make up wishlist that I would love to be getting this Christmas! Also I would just like to put out there I have never physically tried any of these products, I have been wanting to try them more and more as I've read reviews on them and seen youtube videos on them!
Now to start of my list is the Mac fix plus spray! Now nearly all the reviews I have seen on this have been great! I've never tried a makeup setting spray before and I went to purchase the Nyx setting spray the other day and there was none left in the store so I'm taking this as a sign to just wait to purchase this Mac one!
10.

This next product is the Benefit porefessional pore filler and primer. I've also heard a lot about this and I have actually recieved a tester of this once and fell in love with it!
9.

This product is a brand I have never actually used before but am literally dying to try! I have heard so many amazing things about this brand and now I am determined to try nars sheer glow foundation! I know a lot of people who swear by this foundation and I would love to try it out!
8.

I'm going for another foundation now, and this one is very different to the last one. This one is the Estée Lauder double wear foundation! This is a complete full coverage foundation which I've heard of a lot mostly within the last few months! I think this would be perfect for a night out or a day where I'm away and need that extra bit of coverage and longer wear.
7.

Next on my list is another mac product! A friend of mine had this and I was getting ready at her house one night for a night out and fell in love with this powder/highlighter. This is the mac mineralise skin finish soft and gentle. I love the look of this, the packaging and the product itself!
6.

This is yet again another mac product! Now this is a lipstick that is the mother of all lipsticks! It's a matte shade called heroine! It is a beautiful vibrant strong bold lip colour that is divine!
5.

Next on my list of amazingness is the glamglow mudmask! Now this I hear does amazing things for your skin! It dried a different colour and the parts that are a darker colour are literally the gunk and yucky stuff being extracted from your skin!
4.

Now this one I'm really excited to try as zoella has raved and raved and raved about this product. It's pixi glow tonic and I would love to use this stuff!
3.

This product is also a benefit product, it's the highly raved about hoola bronzer. I adore this packaging! It's super cute and my boyfriends sister actually had this and while she was visiting and I may have sneakily have tried this maybe a little... And I loved it!!
2.

And last but not least is.. Drumroll please.. The naked two palette! Now I know I am waaaaay behind in getting this as by now nearly everyone has invested in at least one! But I would love to have this palette! The second palette is my favourite of the three and I can only dream about all the amazing looks one could create with it!
1.

So there you go! This is kind of my high end Christmas wishlist! So I think I will do a lower end budget friendly wishlist too including a few supposed dupes for these products and much more! Thank you for reading guys! Hope you's liked it!

Dealz Own Make-Up Brand? (Poundland)

Today I was back in Dealz (Poundland) and I was amazed! There was a make-up stand up, just like the ones in the pharmacy. A little stand with a make-up brand called "Make-up Gallery" full to the brim of make-up! This excited me to no end, as the products actually looked very good for the price! They had everything from eyeshadows to bronzers and nail varnish to liptick! I had to reign myself in from the excitment and think sensibly as I wanted to buy everything there! I decided on getting only a few products to try out to see if it was a waste of money. I ended up purchasing four things, all at one euro fourty nine cent each. I purchased two lipsticks, a setting powder and a matt bronzer.
The first lipstick was in the shade 01 perfectly nude. This is a tan slightly pinky nude colour. To my surprise although it felt like quite a sheer moisturising lipstick, it was actually quite pigmented! I was really impressed with the colour and it lasts an okay amount of time- I would recommend topping it up regularly but the colour is fab and it doesn't dry out my lips! The next shade I went for was the complete other end of the spectrum and it was shade 18 black cherry. This is a deep berry/burgondy purple colour. I had high hopes for this colour, as you all know i'm looking for that perfect deep purple shade for the coming months. I was also surprised at this! It is also quite pigmented and for a deep colour it felt light on the lips and also not drying! It is a gorgeous colour on and leaves a lovely sheen.

I was really interested to swatch this dark cherry lipstick to the penny's own brand lipstick. I'm not sure which one I like better!

Next I bought a pressed powder in shade 02 medium beige. Now from the swatch you can't see much- it is very light. This was a plus for me as I have very pale skin. The first shade was sold out so I went for the second and it's still perfect for my skin tone! The packaging is very sturdy and at the end of the day it's a pressed powder and it does the job wonderfully! The only negative that I would have to say is that there is a little bit of fall out after you swipe the product onto your brush. I don't mind this too much, as it is so cheap and really works well. I then bought the bronzer in shade medium. It is a matt bronzer- which I tend to prefer over others as although I usually like a dewy foundation and face I find that matt bronzers look alot better on me. Now this product i'm not too sure about, i'm kind of sitting on the fence. I like it as it's very pigmented but I find I have to put in a little extra effort to blend it out properly. It has the same packaging as the pressed powder and also have the same problem with there being a little fall out, but as I said I don't mind too much. I think I will have to buy another shade of the bronzer and see if it is that that's putting me off it because at the moment I can't just place my finger on it!

These aren't the best swatches. As you can see the pressed powder is very pale and great for everyday use along my t-zone! As for the bronzer i'm still not quite sure.. maybe it's the colour? It does look to have a little orange undertone, however not too much on the face.. I'm not quite sure yet but when I place my finger on it I will be sure to let you guys know!
Ultimitely I find this brand good value for money! I'm excited to purchase and try out some more! Thank you for reading and I will be back soon!
